Dr. Todd Hanson, O.D.

Dr. Hanson has been the owner of the St. Anthony Eye Clinic since April 1995. Dr. Hanson grew up in southern Minnesota and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Minnesota State – Mankato. He graduated from the University of Missouri – St. Louis School of Optometry in 1993 with high honors. After practicing in North Branch and Sandstone, MN for a year and a half, he moved to St. Anthony in 1995.

Dr. Hanson has a strong philosophy of giving back to the community and others in need. He has been a member of the St. Anthony Kiwanis Club since 1995, serving as President in 2005. In 2003, the St. Anthony Chamber of Commerce awarded the clinic “Business of the Year”. Recently, Dr. Hanson was awarded the Helen Keller Sight Award by the St. Anthony Lions Club for being a leader in restoring and preserving sight. Dr. Hanson, by nomination of the city council, served over 8 years on the St. Anthony planning commission. Lastly, the office gives back on an international basis by financially supporting Optometry Giving Sight.

Dr. Hanson, his wife Heidi, and son, Matthew have lived in the Village for many years. Outside the office Dr. Hanson enjoys Gopher football games, listening to music and spending time with his family, especially at the lake.

Our Great Staff

Our staff are experienced, specially trained and certified in their field.   They are extremely knowledgeable about eye care, and can help with the selection of proper frames and lenses to fit your lifestyle.

Stephanie manages our Optical Shop. She has 12 years of experience and is certified by the American Board of Opticianry. Steph will analyze your prescription and help you select frames and lenses that are right for you. She is our sunglass expert. Steph loves to work out, play basketball and softball. She loves to watch her favorite basketball team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and most of all cheer for ‘her’ football team, the Buffalo Bills!

Jan has worked in the optical field for more than 20 years. He assists patients with frames and lenses in our optical shop. He also takes retinal photos, instructs patients in contact lens wear, and helps with appointment scheduling. He enjoys travel, photography, and home remodeling.

Beckie joined the St. Anthony Eye Clinic in July 2002 as the Patient Care Coordinator. She enjoys working with patients and welcoming them to the clinic. It is rewarding to hear patients say, “I can see.” Beckie enjoys gardening, reading, walking, cooking, and anything fun.

Diana started as a part-time receptionist in August of 1996. Presently she is the Insurance Specialist for the office and continues to work part-time. Diana enjoys spending time with her fun family of six children. She is an avid reader and thankful there is such a thing as progressive lenses.
